STURMANSKIE Poljot Chronograph Special Edition 3133-1981260

2020 reissue of the legendary Poljot Sturmanskie chronograph from the 1970s.

Absolute collector watch with great attention to detail. Case, dial and bracelet are made in a top quality.

Volmax actually managed to make a small series once again with the Poljot 3133 movements that have been out of production since 2011. Factory new Poljot 3133 movements are not available nowadays. Volmax cleaned and overhauled these new old stock (NOS) movements to produce an absolute top watch with these movements. It is unlikely that this will happen again.

The bezel for the 2nd time zone (Typo: luminous) is rotatable in both directions. The watch is very easy to read in the dark due to the Super Luminova luminous hands, the flat mineral crystal was designed specifically for this watch and has a beautiful edge and shape that mimics the original acrylic crystal. A wonderful detail.

In the mid 1970s, the Poljot factory began to produce a successor to the chronograph caliber P 3017. This new chronograph movement was based on the Swiss Valjoux 7734, and Poljot acquired the production line of this movement from Switzerland. In contrast to the Valjoux 7734 (17 jewels), Poljot gave the movement 23 jewels and a smaller and faster balance, which improved the accuracy compared to the Valjoux. During this time, some of the most legendary Poljot chronographs were created, such as the Poljot OKEAH chronograph.

At that time the watch that was only intended for the air force of the Soviet Union, but was also worn in space by cosmonauts.

This Sturmanskie watch was made by Volmax in Russia.
