These clocks have also been useful in space. Hence the name of the series "Space Pioneers". Sturmanskie's "Space Pioneers" series is dedicated to the 1964 Soviet "Vozhod-1" mission. It was a Soviet manned space flight. For the first time in the world a multi-seat spaceship was put into orbit and for the first time there were scientific astronauts among the space travelers.
On the case back you can see the embossing of the spaceship "Woschod-1" 1964 and the names of the cosmonauts Komarow, Feoktistow and Jegorow. The "Space Pioneers" series is dedicated to these pioneers of the cosmos.
