Design classic with a history that doesn't exist a second time. A highlight in every watch collection. The now very rare Russian manual winding movement Poljot 2609 was installed here. The design is a meaningful quote from the first watch (and the first person) in space. The Moscow company Volmax, the manufacturer of Sturmanskie but also Aviator have created a wonderful new edition of this unique limited edition space watch with this reminiscence. Authentic mechanical design icon of the Russian watch industry. The watch is rounded off by a high-quality deer leather strap.

On 12. April 1961, Yuri Gagarin was the first person in space. On board the Vostok 1, a person got above the internationally recognized limit of 100 km for the first time. Gagarin took off on board a Vostok spacecraft from the Tyuratam spaceport (today's Baikonur) and landed near the southwestern Russian city of Engels after a complete orbit around the world. The flight is one of the greatest successes of the Soviet space program and is considered a milestone in the space race between the USSR and the United States.

Gagarin: The first man and the first watch in space. In 1960 Gagarin was selected as a potential cosmonaut and received appropriate training from March 1960 to January 1961. Because of his calm temperament, he was selected from the 20 possible candidates to be the first person to leave earth.

This Sturmanskie (reference number 2609/3705124) was launched in his honor - It is based on the original Sturmanskie that Yuri Gagarin accompanied on his journey into space. High-quality, matt titanium case with 40 mm diameter, 11 mm height, 20 mm strap width, hardened mineral glass and elaborately decorated back. The back is wonderfully decorated with the image of Yuri Gagarin! Black dial. Screw-down crown.
